This page describes how the site works today, in plain language. A formal policy reviewed by a lawyer will replace it before Join Sarkar's public launch.
What we collect
- Your eligibility answers — date of birth, highest qualification and stream, marks, reservation category and any horizontal category (ex-serviceman, PwBD, etc.), gender, marital status, and whether you are open to physical roles. Later, optional preferences such as study hours, preferred sectors, state and languages.
- Your email address, to send the one-time sign-in code. We never ask for or store a password.
- Your mobile number, only if you choose to give it, and whether you agreed to be contacted on WhatsApp. We have not verified the number.
- Your study activity — the plan we generate, which tasks you mark done, and mock-test scores you log.
- How you found us — the campaign tags in the link you arrived on (utm parameters) and the referring website.
What we use it for
- Working out which exams and posts you are eligible for, ranking them, and building your study plan.
- Sending study reminders and application-deadline alerts by email. Every reminder has a one-click unsubscribe.
- Understanding which channels bring people to Join Sarkar and where the site loses them, so we can improve it.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase — our database and sign-in provider. Your answers, plan and activity are stored here, protected so that your account can only read your own records.
- Vercel — hosts the website.
- Resend — delivers our emails (sign-in codes come from Supabase).
- Microsoft Clarity — records anonymised sessions and heatmaps of how pages are used.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel — tells Meta when someone who saw our ad reached key steps (for example, “finished the questions” or “created an account”), so we can measure our ads. We do not send your answers — category, marks, qualification or date of birth — to Meta.
What we don't do
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with coaching institutes or other advertisers.
Your choices
- You can edit your answers at any time from Edit Profile.
- You can stop reminder emails from the unsubscribe link in any of them.
- You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data by emailing hello@joinsarkar.com.
