RRB NTPC 2026: Last Date 6 November, Age Limit, Fee and Vacancies (CEN 06/2026)

The Railway Recruitment Boards' graduate-level NTPC notification for this cycle, CEN No. 06/2026, is open, with 3,548 vacancies across all RRBs. These are the facts that decide whether you are in this cycle, read from the notification itself.

RRB NTPC age limit 2026
Age is counted as on 1 January 2027 — not on the day you apply.

And you must be born on or before 1 January 2009. In plain terms, the upper age limit is 33 for UR/EWS, with the usual +3 for OBC and +5 for SC/ST.
Note: the previous NTPC graduate cycle allowed up to 36 because of a one-time relaxation. This notification does not repeat it. If you were eligible last time at 34 or 35, check your date of birth again.
Application fee and refund

The refund is paid only if you actually appear in the first-stage CBT.
Selection process
- First-stage Computer Based Test (CBT 1)
- Second-stage Computer Based Test (CBT 2)
- Document verification (called 1:1 against vacancies) and medical examination
The typing skill test has been dispensed with for CEN 06/2026.
Three things people get wrong
- Submitting is not the same as paying. The form closes on 6 November; the fee deadline two days later only applies to forms already submitted. You cannot start a new application on 7 November.
- The age date is in the future. Because age is counted on 1 January 2027, someone inside the limit today can be outside it on that date — and the reverse.
- The correction window costs money and has limits. Treat it as a safety net. Check your category, date of birth and qualification before you submit.
RRB NTPC Undergraduate 2026 (CEN 07/2026)
The 12th-level notification runs on a separate, later window. Coaching sites report 1,688 vacancies, applications closing on 13 November 2026, and an upper age limit of 30 as on 1 January 2027. We have not yet read that notification ourselves, so confirm these on rrbapply.gov.in before relying on them.
